Accessing the networked software applications

Mac OSX networked applications can be accessed from the MacSoft volume, when mounted on your desktop. Please read the Mac OS X Software Service document before using any of the software. 

The software applications can accessed at: afp://macsoft.cf.ac.uk  (a Mac only link)

Alternatively, from the OSX Finder:

• select Go menu, Connect to Server...
• In  the Address field type macsoft.cf.ac.uk and select Connect
• When prompted type in your network username and password and select Connect
• Highlight the MacSoft volume and select OK to mount the volume MacSoft on your desktop.

Tip: You may alias the mounted volume for future quick access. To do this:

• highlight the MacSoft volume
• from the File menu select Make Alias.
