Meeting / Study Rooms
In addition to the large IT facility located on the second floor of the Julian Hodge Building, the Study Centre has three bookable meeting rooms. The rooms are intended for group study work and are each decorated and furnished to a high standard.
Each Meeting Room is fitted with a suitable meeting table and networked computer. LAPNET and Wireless connectivity is also available in each room. State of the art Wall-Talkers walls have also been installed in each room to allow easy brainstorming or effective presentation of information.
Should you wish to use a Meeting Room to practice a presentation you may loan a multimedia projector for the duration of your booking.
Meeting Rooms 1 & 2
Each room will comfortably seat 4-6 people
Meeting Room 3
This larger room will comfortably accommodate 6- 8 people and has the added benefit of a wall mounted touch sensitive plasma screen installed in the room. Effective presentation practice is a breeze with this equipment so take advantage today and book a session in the room.
Who can use the rooms?
Any registered student may book the room for a maximum of two hours per day. Please see our code of conduct for further information regarding room usage.
How to book
Either contact or visit the Julian Hodge Study Centre to book a session in one of the rooms. Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis and availability of a room can not be guaranteed on any one day. Bookings are only taken for groups of 2 or more students.
On the day of your booking you will be required to collect a key for the room from the Julian Hodge Study Centre enquiry desk leaving your University ID card as deposit. You will not be allowed to use a room if you fail to present a valid ID card.
