Royal College of Radiologists
By far one of the best UK sites available. Information relating to professional matters, education, government documents, conferences, people plus the usual world-wide links.

British Institute of Radiology
The Institute of Radiology aims to "bring together all the professions in radiology and allied medicine and scientific disciplines to share knowledge, and educate the public, thereby improving the prevention and detection of disease and the management and treatment of patients." The site gives brief background information about BIR membership and details of events and meetings.

American Society of Radiologic Technologists
Specifically geared towards radiography rather than radiology. Separate sections include education, tutorials and useful links.

American College of Radiology
Publishes standards and accreditation guidelines, conducts research and statistics concerning the profession and has an active governmental relations program.

Health Professions Council
HPC is a new independent, UK wide regulatory body with responsibility for setting standards of professional training, performance and conduct of the 12 healthcare professions that it regulates including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Radiotherapists.

Radiological Society of North America
A good launchpad for sites related to radiology, medical physics, radiography and medical ultrasound.

Health Protection Agency - Radiation Protection Division
Part of the Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards, the Division carries out the Health Protection Agency’s work on ionising and non-ionising radiations. It undertakes research to advance knowledge about protection from the risks of these radiations; provides laboratory and technical services; runs training courses; provides expert information and has a significant advisory role in the UK.

Department of Health
Gives access to all the latest news and information about the Department of Health including all recent publications. It also provides access to National Service Frameworks, which have been provided to set national standards and define service models for specific service and care groups.
