- The Cudlipp Collection
This collection contains the personal papers of Lord Hugh Cudlipp who was born in Cardiff in 1913 and was Editorial Director of the Daily Mirror until 1973. This collection is located within SCOLAR's Archive and Manuscript Collection, on the lower ground floor of the Arts and Social Studies Library.
- The Osman Collection
The Osman Collection is named after Colin Osman, long-time Editor of Creative Camera and associate of Tom Hopkinson when he was editor of the South African journal, Drum. His collection of historic magazines, books, sound-recordings and photojournalism was acquired by the Tom Hopkinson Centre for Media Research to form the basis of its research archive. This collection can be accessed via the Bute Library.

Dissertation Abstracts (Digital Dissertations)
Abstracts and bibliographic citations of doctoral and masters dissertations, primarily from North America, in all subject areas from 1861. There are 2.3m entries with nearly 60,000 new entries added each year. Abstracts describing the contents of the works are included from the 1980s onwards. Where available (from mid 1990s onwards) a 24 page preview of each work is also included.

The UK Data Archive (UKDA) is a resource centre that acquires, disseminates, preserves, and promotes the largest collection of digital data in the social sciences and humanities in the United Kingdom. Its primary aim is to support secondary use of quantitative and qualitative data for research and learning.
