Membership Categories and Entitlements

Cardiff's Membership Categories and Entitlements (MCE) work provides an evolving and continually developing list of all categories of membership of the University, and what services each of these membership categories is entitled to receive.
For INSRV, the MCE work guides what library and IT services our users, in each of the 98 different user groups, are entitled to. The INSRV MCE group makes recommendations to the University-wide MCE group.
The group believes that Cardiff University is leading the field in this complex, detailed and time-consuming work, which is essential to ensure users can access the services to which they are entitled.
The INSRV MCE group is embarking on a new piece of work identifying what governance measures and sanctions are available for each category in the case of misuse of Cardiff University entitlements and resources.
