General Information

ICCST-12 dates (22.-26. July 2013) were announced during a visit of Prof. R. Laitinen (Oulu University and chairman of ICCST-11) at Cardiff University on 10. Feb. 2012


High-speed InterCity trains link most cities with Cardiff. The journey time from London Paddington to Cardiff is under two hours.  Trains to and from Cardiff to London are approximately every 30 minutes during the day.

There is a taxi rank outside Cardiff Central Station.  The fare from Cardiff Central will depend on which hotel you have booked.
The majority of hotels in the city centre are in walking distance of the station.

National Express operates services to Cardiff from cities throughout the UK, including a flightlink service from Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Cardiff is right on the national motorway system. The M4 runs through the north of the city, making London a comfortable drive away. From the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland it is a straightforward drive via the M6, M5 and M50/M4. From the South and South West of England the approach is by M5 and M4. Access from West Wales is by M4.

July in Wales is sometimes unpredictable and it can be quite rainy.  Participants are advised to check the actual weather conditions on uk.weather.com

Power supply is 230 V AC, 50 Hz. It is recommended to have a suitable plug-in for British standard.

The Organising Committee does not accept liability for personal medical expenses, travel expenses, losses of whatever nature incurred by participants and/or accompanying persons. Participants should therefore make their own insurance arrangements.



Conference Registration Policy
Contributions must be presented by one of the authors, or, if none of the authors are able to attend, the presentation can be made by a qualified substitute. All participants will be required to register and pay in full except for invited speakers.
