Managing Stress

1 day

Stress is a necessary aspect of daily life, however too much stress makes us less effective and can lead us to experience physical symptoms and even to become unwell. This course will explore what stress is and what triggers your own stress response, and help you look at ways of increasing your resilience to stress and therefore your overall health and wellbeing.

This course should prove to be of particular interest to those who:

  • Feel under pressure
  • Struggle with change and uncertainty
  • Find themselves juggling conflicting demands
  • Feel their work/life balance is not working
  • Experience any symptoms of stress and anxiety: headaches; insomnia; loss of appetite/comfort eating; difficulty relaxing and switching off; panic attacks and any other psychosomatic symptoms brought on by stress
  • Wish to build their resilience to stressful situations
