An Introduction to PCUTL for Probation Reviewers: Free Workshop

1 1/2 hours

Probation Reviewers (those staff managing the probation period for new staff) play a key role in the management and support of staff who are in a probation period. Completion of 40 credits of Cardiff University’s Postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning (PgCUTL) is a requirement for some staff in a probation period in both the Teaching and Research and Teaching and Scholarship career pathways. This free workshop offers Probation Reviewers an opportunity to find out more about PgCUTL and its purpose, ethos and indicative workload requirements. The workshop is essential both for staff acting as Probation Reviewers for the first time, and for Reviewers who have worked with probationary colleagues on the pre-2011/12 version of the programme as PgCUTL has changed significantly.
