Clinical Academic Appraisal - Arrangements for different Specialisms

Appraisal arrangements vary for clinical academics according to specialism:

• Appraisal arrangements for General Practitioners remain unchanged; GPs should continue to use the existing on-line appraisal scheme administered by the Wales Deanery. https://nhswalesappraisal.org.uk

• All other doctors whose practice is outside General Practice and all dentists should use the on-line Medical Appraisal Revalidation System, (MARS). https://medical.nhswalesappraisal.org.uk/. • A paper version of the MARS form which has been endorsed by RAIG as suitable for revalidation has been developed for anyone who is unable to use the on-line system.
