Research Staff Career Development Skills Programme logo

This programme is part of the University's drive to improve and increase the number of career development workshops for research staff. Workshops are provided free-of-charge for the University's research staff. (Because of the way that this training is funded, priority will be given to researchers employed at grades 5 & 6).

Online Research Skills Modules  

These online modules have been developed with a consortium of six other Universities to provide an opportunity for any time, anywhere learning or review of research related topics.

The HR Training and Development Section

The University's Training and Development section offer training courses on a wide range of topics. These courses are open to all members of staff. To book a place fill in a course booking form and pass to your Head of School for approval.

Information Services

Information Services provides advice and guidance to help you get the best from their services. They provide a wide range of IT and information literacy training to meet the needs of all staff and students.  

Language Courses


Centre for Lifelong Learning

The University's Centre for Lifelong Learning offers a range of language courses.

The Welsh Language Teaching Centre

The University offers a wide range of Welsh lessons catering for all levels - from novice learners to bilingual members of staff wishing to polish their written or verbal skills. Anyone interested in lessons should contact the University's Langauge Tutor, Mrs Nona Gruffudd-Evans on extension 75594.
