2011 Research Staff Policy Forum

The University held the second Research Staff Policy Forum on 10 March 2011, this event informed research staff of any career-related developments that affect them, whilst also giving them the opportunity to feed into University policy.

The aims of the Research Staff Policy Forum are

  • to provide information about the support available for research staff and the University’s policy and obligations to them, both Institution-wide and at School level;
  • to increase awareness of national developments in relation to the management and career development of research staff;
  • to provide research staff with the opportunity to meet and discuss their experiences with other researchers from across the Institution, and to feed their views into the management structure of the University.

This event is free-of-charge to all staff employed on research-only contracts and is funded by the additional monies received from the UK Research Councils for the career development training of its research staff.
