Outstanding Contribution to the Values of the University

Award Criteria

The ‘Values of the University’ are the six values set out in the University’s Strategy Map:

  • We value freedom of thought and intellectual curiosity
  • We value excellence, innovation and contemporary relevance
  • We support an ethical, open and collaborative work ethos
  • We have a culture based on dignity, respect and courtesy
  • We have a strong commitment to equality and diversity
  • We encourage sustainability

This award recognises outstanding work demonstrating the University’s values in action.  The contribution needs to be practical rather than theoretical, and the impact of the work needs to be clearly demonstrated within a nomination for this award.

The award can be given to individuals, teams or even a whole School, Directorate or Division who has shown an embodiment of one, or more, of the University’s values.
