The Caerleon Research Committee was set up in 2005 following a recommendation in the Cadw-sponsored research framework for Roman Caerleon and its environs (available on the Downloads section), which in turn arose from the Research Framework for Welsh Archaeology drawn up in 2002-3. The Caerleon framework recommended that a 'body to co-ordinate research and act as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas should be established as a priority'.
The Committee meets twice a year to discuss progress on existing research projects and to discuss new proposals. All enquiries should be sent to the Secretary (see under Contact Us)
