The Ceremonies

Cardiff University holds several graduation ceremonies each year, marking an annual highlight in the University's calendar.

All ceremonies are held in St David's Hall, The Hayes, Cardiff. They last for approximately 2 hours. Graduates should arrive at St David's Hall one hour before the start of their ceremony. A mandatory rehearsal for Graduates takes place during this time.

Graduation on the big screen

The University’s graduation ceremony will be broadcast live to the city on the BBC big screen, located outside St David’s Hall.

Members of the public as well as friends and families of graduates will be able to watch the degree congregations as they happen.
