Coach Attendants Needed
We are recruiting people to be coach attendants on some of these trips. You must be a Cardiff University postgraduate student, with good spoken English and an outgoing personality. Previous experience would be an advantage. We are not able to offer payment for this, however, your coach fare for the trip will be free. Oxford, the ‘city of dreaming spires’, has a fascinating history. Famous for prestigious Oxford University, it is also the birthplace of Alice in Wonderland. Christ Church, the setting of Hogwarts Hall in the Harry Potter films, is a must see.  Internationally renowned museums such as the Ashmolean Museum and the Museum of Modern Art provide something for all ages. The trip will depart at 08:00 from the front of the Students' Union Building in Park Place. Please arrive about 15 minutes prior to departure time in order to be checked in for the trip. Stonehenge is a world-famous prehistoric monument, dating back thousands of years. Sited on Salisbury Plain, ten miles to the north of Salisbury, it is a series of concentric rings of standing stones which surround an altar stone at the centre. Salisbury is an ancient city famous for its beautiful cathedral, visited by 600,000 visitors from all over the world every year. The trip will depart from Cardiff at 09:00. Please arrive about 15 minutes prior to departure time in order to be checked in for the trip. We will spend approximately two hours at Stonehenge before travelling on to Salisbury. Bath was developed around the site of ancient thermal springs, which are now part of one of the UK's top five attractions, and has been designated a World Heritage Site. Bath is famous for its Roman Baths (admission charge), Pump Room, Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, and the Circus. The trip will depart from Cardiff at 08:30, arriving at 10:00 approximately. This trip takes you to the Royal Borough of Windsor.  Windsor is most famous for Windsor Castle and Legoland.  The castle is an official residence of the Queen and the largest occupied castle in the world. You can visit the castle or take a trip to Legoland, take a boat trip up the Thames, or visit Eton College, or Frogmore House.  Many of Windsor attractions are in the town centre or can be reached by local bus.  You can catch a train from Windsor into Paddington or Waterloo, so you can even visit London for the day. The trip will depart at 08:00 from the front of the Students' Union Building in Park Place. Cheddar Gorge & Caves Experience  (Bookings Open 2 March 2015)

Cheddar Gorge is one of England's most iconic and spectacular landscapes. A Taste of Welsh History (Bookings Open 20 April)

This trip will involve visiting three historic attractions.  First we will visit Raglan Castle /http://cadw.wales.gov.uk/daysout/raglancastle., followed by a visit to Caerlean where you will see the Roman Fortress and Baths http://cadw.wales.gov.uk/daysout/Caerleon-roman-fortress-baths .  We will end the day by visiting Tintern Abbey which is one of the greatest monastic ruins of Wales http://cadw.wales.gov.uk/daysout/tinternabbey.  The trip will depart from Cardiff at 09:00.  Please arrive about 15 minutes prior to departure time in order to be checked in for the trip.  We will spend between 1 - 2 hours at each destination before departing Tintern Abbey at 17:00.

Hay-on-Wye is a small market town located near the border of Wales and England. The town is notable for having around 34 second-hand bookshops. Bristol Zoo (Bookings Open 1 June)

Join us for a trip that is great for all ages. Bristol Zoo GArdens are set  within 12 acres of beautiful gardens. You will come face to face with over 400 species of exotic, endangered and adorable animals from the four corners of the globe. You can see the family of gorillas, stroll through the tropical Butterfly Forest or become immersed in the impressive Seal and Penguin Coast. Some other Zoo favourites include Monkey Jungle, Reptile house, Asiatic lions, Bug World, Twilight World, and the Aquarium. Tenby is a walled seaside town in Pembrokeshire, southwest.  It has 2.5 miles of sandy beaches; the 13th century medieval town walls, including the Five Arches barbican gatehouse; the 15th century St. Mary's Church; the Tudor Merchant's House (National Trust); Tenby Museum and Art Gallery; and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, part of Wales' only coastal National Park. Welsh Beaches - Gower Coast Tour* (Bookings Open 13 July)

On this trip we will visit three of the best beaches in South Wales.  Firstly we will visit Three Cliffs Bay, before going on to Oxwich Bay where we will also spend a short time at Oxwich Castle.  We will finally visit Rhossili which is located at the most Western part of the Gower Peninsula. Here you will find Worm's Head, which stretches out to sea and becomes an island when the tide comes in. The breathtaking view is completed by the long sandy beach and the towering cliffs. Rhossili Bay was voted as the best picnic spot and the best beach in the UK in June 2010. Brecon Beacons

We will first visit Garwnant Visitor Centre, situated at the Southern end of the Brecon Beacons National Park, which is run by the forestry commission. It offers 400 acres of beautiful woodland with many nature trail walks. We will then move on to Brecon, the largest town within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Enjoy losing yourself in the narrow streets and passageways lined with Georgian and Jacobean shop fronts. We plan to spend 2hrs in Brecon before going on to the Brecon Beacons Mountain Centre, run by the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority and the most popular visitor attraction in the National Park. The Mountain Centre stands 1100ft / 335m above sea level offering stunning views of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales. An adjacent moorland ridge known as Mynydd Illtyd offers some fine, easy-to-moderate graded walking. The trip will depart at 09.00 from the front of the Students' Union Building in Park Place.
