Our Computer Room is specially designed for the postgraduate student community. Using any of the 35 PCs, you can access most of the software available on the University's network. There is a multifunction printer (colour and black & white) in the Computer Room.
The Computer Room is for quiet individual work and group work is not permitted. For this reason, you are also asked to keep your mobile phone turned off in the room and to limit conversation to the minimum. No food or drink is permitted in the room, except bottled water.
There are eight additional networked computers in the Study Lounge, if you just need to collect email or surf the web. These are also suitable for group work when you need access to a computer. There is also the option of booking a meeting room for group work, as there is a networked computer in each meeting room as well as wireless access to the University network.
The Graduate Centre Computer Room is not staffed, however if need assistance, a help line phone located in the Computer Room will connect you to the Information Services Help Desk. If you are dialling internally, the telephone number is 74487. If you are dialling externally, the number is 029 20874 487.
If you want to work after midnight, the computer rooms in Julian Hodge and Trevithick Buildings are open 24 hours. These and other IT rooms across the campus are easy to find using Information Services maps.
The MFD (Multi-Function Device) printer is part of the University's networked printing system. In order to use the MFD printer, you must have credit in your printing account accessed via the myPrint webpage . Please ensure you follow the instructions displayed. The MFD printer can also be used to scan, and colour copy.
