Although dating from 1883, the university is focused on the 21st century, and has modern state-of-the-art buildings and facilities.

We have invested substantially in the estate in recent years. The majority of academic schools have benefited from major refurbishment including the provision of new and well-equipped laboratories, lecture theatres, libraries and computing facilities.

Latest developments include:

• £4 million extension to the Cardiff School of Biosciences
• £16 million Cochrane Building, providing a new Medical Education Centre at the Heath Park Campus
