Why Cardiff?

Career prospects

Our graduates are among the most sought-after by employers – more so than their counterparts from most other major UK universities.

A Cardiff degree carries great weight in the jobs market as employers value the University’s graduates for their academic ability, motivation and resourcefulness.

"Cardiff students demonstrate the talent, motivation and enthusiasm that employers are seeking." Paul Davies, Partner at Macfarlanes LLP (international law firm)

Students benefit from a stimulating study environment, research-led teaching, and interaction with academics who are working at the frontiers of knowledge in their field. This all serves to encourage critical thinking and nurtures both self-reliance and teamwork.

"EY are pleased to work with Cardiff University and support the Cardiff Award as we believe it will help students not only realise their own potential and strengths but also learn how to communicate these effectively to potential employers." Laura Smith, Graduate Recruitment Officer, EY (Ernest Young, Cardiff)
