Our Insiders are current students sharing their experiences of Cardiff University in their own words. If you want to know what it’s really like at Cardiff, this is the place to find out.
Each Insider posts regularly to their blog, to Twitter and to their own Facebook page. Some also post photos to Instagram so you can see what they're up to as well as reading about it.
They're here to answer any questions you have about life at Cardiff University. What’s a typical day like? What clubs and societies are there? Is Cardiff’s music scene any good? It can be almost anything - just post a comment on their Facebook page or message them on Twitter.
Our Insiders are real students studying a range of subjects.
1st year Dentistry
I like anything to do with art, and tie dye almost all of my things. I run regularly and play the piano, but am also a bit of a couch potato and watch Smallville constantly. I loved Duke of Edinburgh and really want to go Backpacking and camping again this summer.
1st year Music
I'm studying music and my life pretty much revolves around music. I like pretty much any genre of music other than heavy metal. I enjoy camping and being outdoors, but I hate rain!
2nd year Welsh
I'm a second year student here in Cardiff studying Welsh and enjoying all the great opportunities that are available here. Since becoming a student I have become an expert in soup making and have developed an obsession for swimming. I love being adventurous and since the summer I have developed a love for mountain climbing and lake swimming. Looking forward to travel Europe and Wales this summer!
2nd year Planning & Geography
I enjoy trying new activities and sports with a passion for travelling. To keep busy I am a course rep, student careers rep and residence warden. I look forward to the challenges of the Cardiff Award next year and getting involved in the Kayaking Club and IMG football.
3rd year Philosophy
I'm a fun loving, easy going student who loves nothing more than spending time with my friends, playing sports, cooking, or travelling the world. I'm always up for a laugh, and will do my best to say 'yes!' to every opportunity!
2nd year Architecture
Being a second year architect I guess you could say I'm creative; I'm a keen photographer and pay the bills working as a club photographer in the union. I'm an avid skier and surfer, lover of mountains,sea and (being a Devon boy) cider!
2nd year Psychology
My passion is dancing, and has been since I was about 7 years old. Needless to say I was quick to sign up with a dance troupe. I also love singing (in the shower), being a committee member for the Psychology Society and am involved in a few volunteering projects.
5th year Medicine
Final year medical student and patriotic Welshman attempting to make the Team GB triathlon team. World Duathlon Championships silver medalist 2012. Great British Bake off addict, aspiring masterchef and cookie monster.
1st year Engineering
Guitar player, amateur cook, casual software programmer, and all-round engineer. Loves classic rock, the welsh mountains and meeting people. Hates grainy glass and things that don't work.
