Funding & fees

I currently live outside the UK but inside the EU

Cardiff University will charge an annual fee of £9,000 per annum. However, if you are from a country within the EU and are studying towards your first degree at Cardiff University, you will not have to pay your tuition fee upfront (subject to terms and conditions). You could be eligible for:

  • a non-repayable tuition fee grant of £5,425 from the Welsh Government (subject to terms and conditions
  • a repayable tuition fee loan of £3,575 which you only start to pay back when you have finished your studies and are earning more than £21,000pa (subject to terms and conditions)

Health Related Courses

In recent years, tuition fees for UK/EU students awarded NHS funded places for undergraduate health courses – Dental Hygiene, Dental Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Radiography – have been paid by the NHS. Further information about what financial support will be available in 2013/14 will be published on the NHS website in due course.
