Funding & fees

Tuition fees

From 2012, Government funding of higher education is changing. Consequently, Cardiff University will charge a tuition fee of £9,000 per annum to new undergraduate students beginning their studies from September 2012 onwards. This will ensure that the University’s high-calibre research-led teaching is protected, and the vibrant student experience enjoyed by our students will be maintained and continually improved.

Most UK/EU students will be eligible for financial support to cover the whole cost of the tuition fee. You will not be required to pay any money back until you graduate and start earning more than £21,000 per year. Please click on the links below to find out more about your situation:

Cardiff University is committed to ensuring that everyone who has the ability to study at Cardiff is able to do so whatever their financial circumstances. A comprehensive package of scholarships and bursaries has been developed to provide additional financial support.
