As an undergraduate there are three degree options available to you.
A bachelor degree is a course of study that takes between three to four years to complete, depending on whether you choose a course which for example includes a year abroad or a year in industry. Otherwise known as a 'first' or 'ordinary' degree, a bachelor degree will give you a thorough understanding of the course you are studying, as well as provide you with key skills to take into your professional career.
An undergraduate masters degree usually takes between four and five years to complete depending on whether or not you choose to do a sandwich course with a year abroad or a year in industry. With one further year of study on top of your bachelor degree, a masters degree gives you a more in depth knowledge of your subject.
A diploma is a course of study that lasts no longer than two years. Diplomas are awarded by the Schools of Dentistry (Dip/DH) and Healthcare Studies (DipHE).
