AAB grades at A-level to include Maths and Physics (excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking) OR Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma with a pass in the Core and grades AB in GCE A-level to include Maths and Physics (either order)
ABB grades at A-level to include Maths and Physics (excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking). Applicants must achieve an A in Maths OR Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma with a pass in the Core and grades A in Maths and B in Physics.
ABB grades at A-level in Maths, Physics and Music plus evidence of working towards grade 8 in one instrument. Grade 8 practical plus grade 8 theory can be substituted instead of A2 Music but Maths and Physics are still required at AB grades (either order).OR Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma with a pass in the Core and grade B at A-level in Maths, Physics and Music plus evidence of working towards grade 8 in one instrument. Grade 8 practical plus grade 8 theory can be substituted instead of A2 Music but Maths and Physics are still required at BB level plus Welsh Baccalaureate pass in the Core.
There are no specific additional requirements for admission.
The Cardiff School of Physics and Astronomy will consider applications on an individual basis.
