The School has prepared this document to assist applicants in assessing whether they have the skills, attributes and qualifications which Cardiff School of Physics and Astronomy has identified as being important if students are to succeed on its undergraduate programmes of study. It also summarises the process which the School uses for selecting students and making offers, so that applicants understand how the School considers their applications.
All undergraduate Physics and Astronomy programmes - single or joint honours.
The School of Physics and Astronomy recruits approximately 120 students a year and competition for places is high.
School Selection Procedures
Several University-wide Open Days for undergraduates are held each year which provide an opportunity to visit all departments in addition to residences, the Students’ Union and sports facilities. Please see our Open Day webpage for further details.
