AAB/ABB including Chemistry and at least one other science subject, preferably Biology. Mathematics or Physics is an advantage. General Studies or Critical Thinking are not considered a suitable third A-level.
In exceptional circumstances two AS-level subjects will be considered in lieu of a third A-level.
Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma with a pass in the Core and grades AA/AB in Chemistry plus Biology, Physics or Maths.
A biological subject or a double Science award at grade B if Biology has not been studied at A-level. Mathematics and English at grade A – C.
International students can find entry requirements for some other qualifications on our website. Persons offering alternative qualifications are considered and should contact the Pharmacy UG Admissions Student Office (see address at the end of this document) by email or letter (not telephone) detailing their qualifications and experience.
In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, competence in the English language is also a criterion of admission.

There are no specific additional requirements for admission.
The Cardiff School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences awards a number of scholarships per annum to International students who are self-funded. Such awards are made on the basis of academic performance, interview performance and need.
Candidates will only be invited to apply for a scholarship if they have already received an Unconditional, or Conditional, offer from the School of Pharmacy. The level of award will normally be a minimum of £1,000 or a maximum of £2,000 in any academic year. The Pharmacy International Scholarship Panel will consider all applications by early August each year.
Resit candidates will be considered but can be set higher than standard conditional offer grades.
