The Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies will consider applications from students wishing to transfer to Cardiff from nursing/midwifery degrees at other UK Universities only where there are compelling personal circumstances supporting a transfer as well as a funded place available, and where the applicant, (a) meets the entry requirements for the relevant degree scheme, and (b) has achieved a satisfactory level of performance in the first year of the programme at his/her current institution.
Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery studies will not accept direct transfers from students wishing to transfer from other Schools within Cardiff University. Students are welcome to apply via UCAS, and will be given equal consideration via our selection process where the applicant meets the entry requirements for the relevant degree scheme and is able to demonstrate motivation to study Nursing and Midwifery. All applicants to nursing and midwifery programmes are required to start at the beginning of the programme due to the clinical component of these programmes.
The Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies is happy to make offers for deferred entry except on the BMid programme.
