The Cardiff School of Engineering will consider applications from students wishing to transfer to Cardiff from other UK Universities only where there are compelling personal circumstances supporting a transfer, and where the applicant, (a) meets the entry requirements for the relevant degree scheme, and (b) has achieved a satisfactory level of performance in each (appropriate) module taken at his/her current institution. If a transfer is required into Year 2 then the appropriate admissions tutor must be confident that the core subject matter of Cardiff's Year 1 has been covered.
The transfer request must be completed and lodged in Engineering’s Registry before the week of the A level results, is subject to availability and only with the approval of the appropriate admissions tutor.
Applications for transfers from students wishing to transfer to year 1 from other Schools within Cardiff University are considered where the applicant meets the entry requirements for the relevant degree scheme and is able to demonstrate motivation to study engineering. The transfer process must be completed and lodged in Engineering’s Registry before the week the A level results are published and only with the approval of the appropriate admissions tutor.
The Cardiff School of Engineering is willing to make offers for deferred entry.
