Postgraduate Open Evenings, February 2012
We will be hosting two Open Evenings in February to give you chance to find out more about Postgraduate Opportunities at Cardiff University. It will give you the chance to speak to academic tutors and researchers from across the university.
- Thursday, 9 February 2012, 4.30pm-6.30pm - for Humanities and Social Sciences
Please note that, unfortunately, the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies as well as the School of City & Regional Planning cannot attend the event. The School of City & Regional Planning will be attending the TARGETcourses Postgraduate Study & Funding Fair Wales during the day (1pm - 4pm).
In addition, the School of Psychology hosts a PhD Research event between 1.30pm and 5.30pm [PDF] specifically for those interested in a PhD in Psychology. - Thursday, 23 February 2012, 4.30pm-6.30pm - for Health and Biomedical Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering

Alternative Visits
We welcome visits from prospective postgraduates throughout the year, and if you are unable to join us for our annual Postgraduate Open Day, there are a number of other options available.
Visits to Academic Schools
In addition to the University-wide Postgraduate Open Day, some academic schools also hold their own Open Days for postgraduate students - or will arrange to meet prospective postgraduates to discuss options.
If you wish to arrange a personal appointment, you should make contact with the academic school in which you are interested well in advance and seek their advice. Contact details can be found on the website of the relevant academic school - a list of our academic schools with website links can be found on our Education page. Alternatively, please consult our Course Finder database, which contains contact details for specific postgraduate programmes.
Guided Tours of the Cathays Park Campus
If you have arranged a personal appointment to visit an academic school at Cardiff, the Postgraduate Recruitment Office can arrange a walking tour of the main campus area at Cathays Park. These tours are conducted by staff from the Postgraduate Recruitment Office or current postgraduate students, and can be scheduled to fit in with your visit plans, subject to staff availability. Recruitment Events attended by the University
Each year, staff from the Postgraduate Recruitment Office attend a number of exhibitions at locations within the UK and Europe. Details of such events are included in a calendar on our Postgraduate News and Events page as and when they become available.
