Funding
As a prospective postgraduate, securing funding is likely to be an important consideration as you consider your plans for further study or research.
Cardiff University offers a number of competitive studentships each year to support postgraduate study. Funding sources for these awards can include the UK Research Councils, individual academic schools at Cardiff and collaborations with industry, business, government departments and other bodies.
There is also a range of potential funding sources available to prospective postgraduates externally.

Important Note
Careful research into potential funding opportunities is essential, as is allowing yourself plenty of time to submit applications in advance of any deadlines set by the relevant funding organisation. You will also need to have a firm offer of a place to study on a postgraduate programme before you will be considered for most postgraduate funding awards.
It is therefore important that you apply for your chosen programme of study well in advance of the closing date for any funding applications you intend to make. You can search and browse Cardiff University's postgraduate programmes using our Course Finder database, while full details on how to apply for admission to a postgraduate programme can be found at the Apply Section of our website.
