You must complete the Bachillerato (High School Certificate) with an average grade of B / 75%.

Undergraduate courses

If you have completed the Bachillerato you will usually need to undertake a foundation course before you can be admitted to an undergraduate programme at Cardiff.

Cardiff University will consider students with good grades in the GCE A-level examinations or the International Baccalaureate for entry onto our undergraduate programmes.

Postgraduate courses

You will usually need to have completed a relevant first degree with a good GPA score.

Applicants who hold a Licenciatura with a promedio (GPA) of 8.0+ will be considered for admission to a Masters degree.

Postgraduate research programmes

If you are applying for research programmes from Mexico, you will be required to provide evidence that you have already carried out research, usually via the successful completion of a relevant masters' degree.

You will need to have successfully completed the Maesría in Mexico with a promedio (GPA) of at least 8.0.

English language

A relevant English language qualification is also required — normally a minimum of 6.5 IELTS or iBT TOEFL 90, however, this may vary from course to course.

If you are unsure of your qualifications or entry requirements please contact the International Office.

For the academic year 2014-15, Cardiff University’s School of Modern Languages is offering 2 competitive full-fee scholarships for Home and EU students (and an equivalent contribution towards fees for International students), each worth £5,730 (pro rata part time). Student views

I chose Cardiff primarily because it was identified as one of the best schools in the UK. I also did some research on the papers that the master’s degree students had produced which was really impressive and I wanted to be a part of that.

Shanahan Chua, Master in Business Administration

My favourite part of Cardiff would be the city centre - it's great area; it has all the shops and it is a really affordable city.
