Coach collection is for new international and EU students will take place on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th September 2016.
Cardiff University staff will be at the Arrivals Lounge of terminals 3, 4 and 5 of Heathrow Airport from 08.00 - 15.15 on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th September.
Coaches will arrive at Heathrow at regular intervals between 08.00 - 15.15. You may have to wait at the airport before we have picked up everyone arriving on their flights.
If you are flying into terminals 1 or 2, please make your way to terminal 3 to meet our representatives.
Cardiff University also provides a free mini-bus and taxi service for international students from Cardiff Airport to the University on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th September from 09.00 - 17.00.
The Coach Collection booking form will appear here later in the year.
Please ensure you book flights that land long before the last time of coach collection (15.15 Heathrow, 17.00 Cardiff).
This is because it can take a significant amount of time to get through immigration. The coaches will not be able to wait for you if you are late.
Please note that we are unable to process your coach collection form and guarantee that there will be any space on the coach if you send it after Sunday 11 September 2016
Look for the red Cardiff University T-Shirts and the red and white Cardiff University logo (as above). We will be located close to the meeting point.
If you can’t find them, go to the Information Desk and staff will be able to direct you to a member of the Cardiff University team.
You can bring your spouse and children on coach collection for free, but please contact us to book their places: firstname.lastname@example.org
Priority will be given to newly arrived students, their spouse and their children. Parents or any other family members are not guaranteed space on the coach and will be allocated seats only if there is sufficient space. If there is space parents and other family members will be charged £15 for this service. Therefore it is advisable that these family members plan to make their own way independently to Cardiff, see: travelling to the UK
You should also be aware that they will not be able to stay in your accommodation with you and should book a hotel, see: accommodation
If you miss the coach collection service you will need to make your own way to Cardiff. Don't worry - this is generally quite easy.
