Students working for the Union's own radio station, XPress Radio
If you've got an interest in the media why not write for the student newspaper, Gair Rhydd, student lifestyle magazine, Quench, or try your hand working for the students’ own radio and TV stations, Xpress Radio and CUTV.
The award-winning free newspaper is produced every Monday of term, with Quench included every fortnight, and brings students campus news, book, band and cinema reviews, information and entertainment. The radio station provides students with valuable experience within presenting, production, design, events, sales and news.
Established in 1972, gair rhydd is Cardiff's free weekly student newspaper. Written for students by students, gair rhydd covers the latest news, sports, opinion and politics, going on across the Cardiff campus.
Cardiff's fortnightly student lifestyle magazine, which includes everything from music and film to fashion and beauty.
Xpress is an award-winning student radio station which broadcasts term-time. With everything from new Cardiff music to the latest discussion on sports, Xpress is the voice of Cardiff Students.
CUTV is the newest member of student media at Cardiff, but they have quickly established themselves with some great content, whether it's the annual Varsity rugby match or freshers welcome videos.
