We are proud to be among the few universities in the UK which have a dedicated university-wide facility exclusively for taught and research postgraduates.
The Graduate Centre complements our academic schools by offering additional resources of space, study and social facilities, as well as workshops and events for students.
Location: 3rd floor of Students’ Union building on Park Place (Cathays Park Campus)
Opening times: Mon-Fri 8am-midnight; Sat-Sun noon-midnight, except mid Jul-mid Sep, when it closes at 10pm.
Facilities: Wireless internet access, 36 networked terminals, printers, scanner and photocopier, five meeting rooms, Reading Room for up to 32 people, newly refurbished informal lounge area with 8 networked PCs, Café Bar with food and licensed bar.

There are five meeting rooms for workshops, project groups, seminars and presentations. Group study is welcomed in the newly refurbished Coffee Lounge, where you will also find 8 additional computers for checking email.
The Reading Room has individual quiet study space for up to 33 people, offering a welcome change from your regular library or School study area.
With wireless internet access throughout the Centre, wireless access to the University’s computing network, and a dedicated IT room with 36 networked computers, printers, scanner and a photocopier, the Graduate Centre is fully equipped for quality study and research. We also have an additional 8 networked PCs in our newly refurbished coffee lounge
This is the place to relax and meet friends for lunch, or after a day of study. It is a modern, comfortable space with a big-screen TV, Nintendo Wii, and food and beverage service, which can also be booked for events. During term-time weekdays, the food and bar service is open 11am-2pm, and 5pm-11pm. In the autumn term, the bar service is also open on Saturday evenings 5pm-11pm.
Past and present Graduate Centre events include a Welcome Fortnight for new students, live music, day trips, games nights, quiz nights and film screenings. Students are encouraged to become involved in the planning of events.

Opening times: 24/7 access with student ID card.
Opening in Autumn 2012, the space consists of a study area and social space. The study area is for private or group work and has access to the university wi-fi, projector, and 3 networked computers.
The social space has a number of sofas and soft seating to take a break from study with free-view TV, DVD Player, and Nintendo Wii for you to use and enjoy. If you are interested in holding any social events in this space please contact the graduate centre.
