Network access

All University residences except student houses/flats are connected to our RESLAN network.

Wireless networking will be available in University residences (except Student Houses/Flats) from the end of September 2012.

Network access in student houses/flats

The RESLAN network is not available in student houses/flats. However, some student houses have the benefit of having private telecommunication lines installed by previous occupants.

If a telecommunication line has already been installed, you can make arrangements with Virgin Media to connect your own private internet service, details can be found at your residences reception.

If a telecommunication line has not already been installed, you may be able to arrange to have your own line installed. To do this you must initially obtain permission from your Residences Manager.

Please note that responsibility for all installation, call and associated charges lies with the house occupants.
