The University currently provides some childcare facilities for employees on campus as well as childcare vouchers through Computershare Vouchers.

How it works
You can elect to reduce part of your annual salary to cover childcare costs either through the on-campus facilities (positiveChildcare – Day Care) or with a registered off-campus provider using childcare vouchers through Computershare (positiveChildcare – Vouchers).
Vouchers are free of tax and National Insurance up to a limit of £243 a month whereas the full cost of places in the University Day Care is free of tax and National Insurance.

positiveChildcare – Vouchers covers children up to 16 years of age

positiveChildcare – Day Care covers children up to 5 years of age

For comprehensive information on the methods of paying for childcare fees for either set up, please see Paying for Childcare Fees note

If you would like to take advantage of positiveChildcare - Daycare, you will find an authorisation form that will need to be completed in the resources. There is also a frequently asked questions document which can be used to answer general questions.

Further information on positiveChildcare – Vouchers is available via the following link Childcare Voucher Scheme
