If you are not satisfied with the decision, you should in the first instance:

  • look at examples of assessments as they may explain why you have not been granted an award.
  • After this you can arrange an appointment with the Financial Support Co-ordinator to discuss your application individually; ensuring your individual circumstances have been correctly understood.  This will also present an opportunity for the assessment process, as it applies to you, to be explained.
  • You can then request that your application be re-assessed by the Head of Student Advisory Services.  This request must be made within 10 working days of seeing the Financial Support Co-ordinator.
  • A final appeal can be made in writing to the Director of Registry, Governance and Students, Main Building, Cardiff University, CF10 3AT.  This must be done within 10 working days of your re-assessment stating your contact details and the grounds for your appeal.  The decision of this appeal will be final.
