Below is a list of organisations that have either contacted Cardiff University directly to advertise their grants, or that appear to be particularly appropriate for our students.
The Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust (£3,000)
Eligibility: Student normally resident in the UK and the son, daughter or spouse of a commercial traveller, chemist or grocer.

The Society for Promoting the Training of Women (interest free loans of up to £1000)
Eligibility: SPTW administer small, interest free loans to women to support their studies. Consideration is given to a student's needs and their achievements as well as to their ability to repay quickly. UWCM students maywish to emphasis that they are almost certain to be able to find graduate level work when they complete their studies. Students who are not high academic achievers may wish to emphasis relevant work experience or the financial / educational barriers they have overcome to attend University.

The BMA Medical Education Trust (up to £1,750)
Eligibility: Students studying Medicine as a second degree who are not eligible to apply for government bursaries. The BMA will only consider awards for clinical years.

The closing date for applications is 31st January. If you are successful you will receive a bursary in the September of the same year. Please note that you need to apply in your 2nd year for assistance in your 3rd year and in your 3rd year for assistance in your 4th year etc.
The Sidney Perry Foundation (£ Varies)
Eligibility: Undergraduate students who are in hardship. The Foundation will not assist with Electives or intercalated periods. It will also only normally consider students under 35 years of age, save in exceptional circumstances.

The Royal College of Surgeons of England: MacLoghlin and Morris Scholarship (£1000)
Eligibility: This Scholarship is for Medical students in financial hardship. Preference may be given to applicants under the age of 30. More information
