What can I do with a postgraduate research degree in European Studies?

In our increasingly 'knowledge-based' economies employers place increasing value on the research skills of their employees. There are many new career opportunities opening up in research outside as well as inside Higher Education. Also, processes of European integration and of globalization make cross-cultural knowledge and communication increasingly relevant for commercial, financial, and political careers as well as careers with NGOs.

Employers recognize, additionally, that problem solving requires flexible minds that are comfortable with interdisciplinary working. Postgraduate research in the School places strong emphases on these three dimensions: research methods and skills; cross-cultural knowledge and communications; and capacity to work across disciplinary boundaries.

What can I do with a Masters degree in Welsh Government & Politics?

Former students of the Welsh Government and Politics scheme have gone on to enjoy diverse careers, many in and around Wales’s institutions of devolved government. They include elected members, civil servants, journalists and lobbyists. A number of those who have opted to study part-time have used the programme in order to secure moves to more senior and/or challenging positions within their place of work. We pride ourselves in training the next generation of practitioners and analysts of Welsh Government and Politics!
