Recycling Waste Electronic & Electrical Equipment (WEEE)
New legislation contained in the WEEE (Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment) Regulations place stringent controls on the disposal of redundant electrical equipment, much of which is now classified as Controlled or Hazardous Waste. This means that we can no longer dispose of electrical equipment via landfill.

Requests for WEEE disposal should be raised via the Estates hotline on ext. 74477. The service is centrally funded for small items but a charge may be levied if any items require special handling due to their size or weight.
