Daily Cleaning, Controls & Monitoring
Within the Estates cleaning department we deliver the best possible cleaning service to all classrooms, office and communal areas within the teaching and office buildings of the university.
We deliver this service through a number of outsourced contracts. Cleaning is undertaken outside of normal office hours, although daytime cleaning services are in place to ensure that toilet facilities are kept clean and adequately replenished and to respond to any emergency spillages etc.
All cleaning personnel have distinctive clothing to identify the company contracted to undertake the clean.
Random quality inspections are carried out by the Cleaning Section daily. The Inspections are conducted either with the school liaison officer, contract manager or individually. Findings are discussed with the contractor and/or school liaison officer.
This is the official system for logging cleaning requests and complaints, such as cleaning tasks that are not being performed, or complaints regarding dust mats, ladies hygiene services, window cleaning, waste disposal, recycling and faulty roller towel machines.
