John Pryde Lecture Theatre (C/-1.01)

From the main entrance on College Lane: Report to the building reception, which is opposite the main entrance and inform security that you require access to the John Pryde Lecture Theatre. The route to the theatre is via a lift to the left of reception, which can only be operated by reception staff for security purposes. At basement level, exit the lift and follow the corridor to the right. There is a steep ramp when exiting the lift, with which some people might require assistance (photograph below). Reception staff are available to provide assistance if required.
Take the first corridor on the left, the theatre is the last door on the left.
There is a unisex accessible toilet in this corridor on the right, before the entrance to the theatre.
From the CUBRIC deck entrance: Follow the corridor straight ahead to reception on the right. Report to the building reception as above.

Facilities and Room Information
This is a fixed seating, tiered lecture theatre.
There is level access to the front of the theatre, but not the back.
There is 1 designated wheelchair space at the front of the theatre.
An accessible height and tilt adjustable table is available (pictured above).
The theatre is fitted with an induction loop. Please use the 'T' switch on your hearing device to use the loop.
The microphone linked to the induction loop is a radio microphone, which can be attached to your clothing. Please speak clearly and towards the microphone.
The lectern surface height is 880mm above the floor.
There is accessible knee space under the lectern.
The white board is adjustable.
A chair is provided at the front of the theatre.
Steps are clearly highlighted.
Lighting levels are bright and can be dimmed by the lecturer.
All fire routes and exits are clearly sign posted using the green running man signs. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the exits and exit routes.
Egress via stairs:
If you think you might require assistance in the event of an emergency evacuation, you must arrange a Personalised Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) as soon as possible. Students must contact their School Disability Contact to arrange a PEEP. Staff will need to contact their School / Division Disability Contact or their manager to arrange a PEEP. Please remember that it is your responsibility to inform the relevant person that you require a PEEP to be set up.
In an emergency evacuation the lifts must not be used.
