Access Route
From the accessible entrance follow the corridor straight ahead to the lift, which is past the main entrance and on the left. Take the lift to the fourth floor; the lecture theatre is right and straight ahead. Two stair lift platforms provide access to the lecture theatre.
Facilities
4.07 is a fixed seated, tiered lecture theatre. The theatre has 5 wheelchair spaces at the back, however there is no wheelchair access to the front of the theatre. If a lecturer or guest speaker requires level access to the front of the theatre, please book an alternative pool room. The theatre has passive lighting and is fitted with an induction loop for people with a hearing impairment.
Emergency Evacuation
In the event of power failure, the stair lift platforms have a battery and manual back-up which allow the lift to be operated. The back-up aids are kept at reception; if required please telephone 76708 from the phone provided and Security will provide assistance to operate the lift.
There is a refuge point outside the lecture theatre in the corridor opposite the main lift, which cannot be operated in the event of an emergency evacuation. Please telephone Security from the telephone provided if assistance is required.
