Scheme Structure
This course offers an opportunity for updating skills and undertaking advanced studies over a wide range of civil engineering topics. It is particularly well suited to those with broad interests in construction. The course is designed to provide an advanced grounding in civil engineering at masters level, with core coverage in structures, hydraulics, transportation, and numerical modelling. Optional coverage includes geotechnics and engineering management, along with further studies in hydraulics and structures.
Civil engineering is based on fundamental engineering principles and analysis, but it is a profession in which art, practice and a sense of service to the community also plays an important role. As a result, both specialised skills and a broad vision are demanded of the modern civil engineer.
