PhD Research

I am investigating a possible role for conceptual and conceptualisation transfer in the expression distinct temporal concepts by Italian L1 learners of English L2. My research, which has its inception in my classroom practice, focuses on the oftentimes erroneous use of English structures holding perfect aspect when used in specific temporal contexts.
