The School of Dentistry ePortfolio

In October 2011, the paper-based Portfolio, which is introduced to Year 1 students at the start of the academic year, will be replaced by an ePortfolio. This is an exciting and innovative initiative which will allow students to build and reflect upon their personal and professional development throughout their time at the School of Dentistry. Not only will it be used throughout their studies during Years 1 to 5, it will also form part of initial discussions with Dental Foundation trainers following graduation.
The ePortfolio will provide an environment in which students can share ideas and develop their reflective writing skills, as well as gather evidence of assessment grades, academic assignments & project work, clinical activity, certificates and other digital artefacts. The students will be able to customise their ePortfolio and showcase their skills and experiences to personal tutors, course tutors, peers and family members as well as potential employers.
