Work Experience
We offer the chance for those interested in Dentistry BDS and our Dental Care Professional courses to visit the School and experience our Dental Clinics.
You will be allocated to one clinic in the morning and then a different clinic in the afternoon.
We have 7 Available Clinics:

DEC. 2 *
DEC. 3 *
Oral Surgery - LA Clinic
Exam & Emergency Clinic
CDH Clinic, Paediatric Dentistry
Orthodontic Clinic
* DEC. Stands for Dental Education Clinic and are our student focused clinics.
Typical Schedule
8:45 a.m. Arrive at the Dental School, report to the Dental Academic Office (Room 128). The office is located on the first floor, down the corridor to the right of the Paediatric reception desk.
9:00 a.m. You will be taken to your first clinic.
12:00 midday. Break for lunch. The nearest place to eat is Heathfields cafe, which is located in the main hospital. If you wish to go there we can give you directions.
1:45 p.m. Return to the Dental Academic Office.
2:00 p.m. You will be taken to your second and final clinic.
4:00 p.m. Finish
At the end of the day you will receive a certificate.
This opportunity is only available to those who are 16 years or older.
We expect those who come on work experience to wear smart clothing and flat shoes.
Due to demand for this scheme you will only be invited once.
We can currently only offer work experience during our School Term Times.
