This research will focus on understanding the extent to which the planning and operation of mass transport systems perpetrate or exacerbate social exclusion from a mobilities perspective, and will assess whether, even in situations where there is a commitment to rights-based approaches, systems are still being planned and operated in a way that exacerbates exclusion.
