Welcome
The Cardiff School of City and Regional Planning is a centre of excellence in research, teaching and policy and practice in planning and human geography. It seeks to understand the complex ways in which places and spaces are produced, governed and experienced in urban and rural contexts, and in relation to the built and natural environments.
Postgraduate Courses
The School runs a series of specialist masters courses which provide professional and academic training through a variety of routes.
Undergraduate Courses
The School runs undergraduate courses in both planning and human geography that provide a stimulating educational experience. While geography provides the theoretical and analytical skills to understand both the nature of change and its impacts, planning translates this understanding into action.
Research
The School plays a leading international role in its fields of expertise and its research has an agenda-setting influence in key debates in planning and human geography. Recent research has focused on the development, management and sustainability of cities, regions and rural spaces.
The School has been consistently rated the top planning school in the UK in terms of its research environment and number of world-leading researchers. It also has a significant cluster of world-leading human geographers.

CPLAN Scholarships
The School is offering a number of scholarships for both undergraduates and postgraduates beginning their studies in 2012.
