How can we help?
The Counselling and Wellbeing Service can support you with the emotional aspects of study. We can offer you help and advice on stress/anxiety, getting good sleep, maintaining a routine, eating to support your study, preparing emotionally for presentations.
Academic study, whether at undergraduate or post graduate level, can be extremely challenging. The pace and level of academic work may be higher then you are used to, and at undergraduate level you will be new to self-directed studying without the support of school teachers and parents. Maybe you have had a break from study and have come back to postgraduate study, which can be challenging as there are deadlines to manage, new skills to develop and relationships to negotiate, as well managing your finances and existing commitments . It may be that you find presentations or seminars difficult and anxiety provoking.
Listen as Alice from the Counselling and Wellbeing Service team talks to a student who is stressed about his exams, along with giving you some tips on how to revise effectively.
