Corporate Services Directorate
The Directorate incorporates a broad range of functions and services. These include the provision of advice to the University on governance and on compliance with statutory or other requirements. The Directorate also provides a number of University-wide services.

Structure
The Corporate Services Directorate is headed by Dr Christopher Turner, Director of Corporate Services and University Secretary. It comprises the following:
- Governance and Compliance Division
- Joint internal Audit Unit
- Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Unit
- Secretariat
- Security and Portering Services
- Welsh Language Services
- NHS Liaison Unit
The Director of Corporate Services and University Secretary
There are two primary functions attached to this post:
1. University Secretary
The main responsibilities are:
- to act as Secretary to the Council, providing independent advice to the Chair of Council and the Council generally on the functioning of Council as the governing body;
- to oversee the work of the Secretariat;
- to obtain legal advice on behalf of the University.
2. Director of Corporate Services
This includes oversight and management of:
- Governance and Compliance Division
- Joint Internal Audit Unit
- NHS Liaison Unit
- Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Unit
- Security and Portering Services
- Welsh Language Services (Welsh Language Scheme).
